This figure decreased by 3.6% over the same period of 2014.
In particular, the export value of major agricultural commodities was estimated
at 8.2 billion dollars, down by 5.7% and significantly decreased in items such
as coffee (33.7%), rubber (9.2%) and rice (8.3%). Seafood export value was estimated
at 3.53 billion dollars, down by 17%, sharply decreased in the largest market,
i.e. the US (27.71%). The export value of forestry products was estimated at
3.88 billion dollars, an increase of 8.1 % compared to the same period of 2014.
The export values of some major products are as follows:
Rice export of July was estimated at 717,000 tonnes, worth of $300 million,
making rice export volume of the first 7 months of 2015 reaching 3.72 million
tons and worth $1.59 billion, a decrease by 3.1% in volume and by 8.3% in value
over the same period of 2014. Average export rice price of the first 6 months of
2015 decreased by 4.64% compared to the same period of 2014.
Coffee exports in July was estimated at 107,000 tonnes with
a value of $220 million, bringing the coffee export volume of the first 7
months of 2015 to 792,000 tons, worth $1.63 billion, down by 33.9% in volume
and increased by 33.7% in value over the same period in 2014. Average coffee export
prices of the first 6 months of 2015 increased by 0.97 % compared to 2014.
Germany and the United States continued to be the two largest coffee consumption
market of Vietnam in the first 6 months.
Estimated rubber export volume reached 98,000 tons in July,
worth $146 million. With this estimation, in the first 7 months of 2015, rubber
export reached 519,000 tons, valued at $760 million, an increase of 13.6% in
volume but a decrease of 9.2% in value compared with the same period of 2014. Average
rubber export prices of the first 6 months of 2015 reached $1,457 per ton, a
decrease of 22.28% over the same period of 2014 .
Tea export volume in July 2015 was estimated at 11,000 tons
with a value of $ 21 million, bringing tea export volume of the first 7 months
of 2015 to 65,000 tons, with a value of $111 million, a decrease of 8.9% in
volume and 5.7% in value compared with the same period of 2014. The average
export price of tea in the first 6 months of 2015 was $1,684/ton, an increase
of 3.2% compared to the same period in 2014.
Cashew export volume of July was estimated at 34,000 tons, with
a value of $259 million, bringing the export volume of the first 7 months of
2015 to 184,000 tons, worth $1.34 billion, an increase of 11.8% in volume and 26.6%
in value compared with the same period of 2014.
Pepper export volume in July 2015 was estimated at 10,000
ton, valued at $104 million, bringing the volume of exports in the first 7
months of 2015 to 98,000 tons with a value of $920 million, a decrease of 20.6%
in volume but rose 1.9% in value.
Estimated export value of wood and wood products in July
2015 reached $530 million, bringing the export value of first 7 months of 2015 to
$3.7 billion, an increase of 8.3% compared to the same period of 2014.
Seafood export value in July 2015 was estimated at $532
million, bringing the export value of first 7 months of 2015 to $3.53 billion, a
decrease of 17% compared to the same period in 2014. The United States remains
the leading import market of Vietnamese seafood, accounting for 19.28% of total
export value.
The export volume of cassava and cassava products in July
2015 was estimated at 157,000 tons, with a value of $65 million, bringing the
total export volume of this item in the first 7 months of 2015 to $2.89 million
tons, worth $886 million, an increase of 35.4% in volume and 30.9% in value
over the same period of 2014.
