Huong Thi Lan Tran (Huong) is currently a Governance Specialist in the World Bank Vietnam country office. With support from UK-DFID through the GAPAP trust fund, Huong’s work focuses on a range of governance issues, including access to information, transparency, and anticorruption. Prior to joining the World Bank in Vietnam, Huong worked on governance and human rights for the Finnish Development Agency in Hanoi where she managed many grassroots projects to improve access to information, access to services for citizens, and to prevent rural women from being trafficked. Her passion is to work for a world with as much peace and happiness as possible. She received her Masters of Development Studies from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.
